Baltā nakts: ISSP 2012 gala darbu projekcijas Kaņepes Kultūras centrā un Valdemāra pasāžā

No mūsdienu Latvijas dokumentācijas līdz dziļi personiskiem stāstiem un portretiem, kā arī konceptuālajai fotogrāfijai un video – 8. septembrī, Baltās nakts laikā, divās vietās vienlaicīgi - KKC un Valdemāra pasāžā - būs skatāmas Starptautiskās fotogrāfijas vasaras skolas (ISSP 2012) gala darbu projekcijas. Profesionāļu aprindās par Eiropā labāko dēvētā fotogrāfijas vasaras skola, kas šogad norisinājās Pelču muižā pie Kuldīgas, Latvijā notika jau septīto gadu. Izturot atlasi, 72 fotogrāfi no 22 pasaules valstīm augustā guva iespēju strādāt septiņu pasaulē atzītu fotomeistaru vadībā. Deviņas dienas fotogrāfi meistarklasēs veidoja savus autorprojektus, pievēršoties padziļinātiem attēla un tā nozīmes meklējumiem.

Šogad meistarklases vadīja laikmetīgās personiskās fotogrāfijas pārstāve Arja Hītieinena, konceptuālais mākslinieks Filips Toledano, World Press Photo uzvarētāja Džodija Bībere, savdabīgo pusaudžu portretu autore Helēna van Mīna, fotoaģentūras “Agence VU” un festivāla “Photo Phnom Penh” dibinātājs Kristians Kožols, kā arī holandiešu kuratora un fotogrāfa tandēms Bas Vrūge un Hanss van der Mērs.

Projekciju laiki:

Kaņepes Kultūras centrs (Skolas ielā 15): 22:00 - 01:00

Valdemāra pasāža (A. Briāna ielā 9a, ieeja blakus Pienam): 18:00 - 04:00

ISSP is moving to Kuldīga

Now, this is not a 1st April joke, its official: the ISSP international summer school is moving to Kuldīga! Though it all happened a little suddenly, we are happy with the new situation. The new location, Pelči boarding school, is 4 km away from town, so we’ll keep all the intimacy of the campus. Kuldīga is a gem and a runner up UNESCO world heritage site, it will for sure charm everyone.
Besides, we will have a real castle all for ourselves - imagine ! :)
