Save the Date - Natural Phenomena

SAVE THE DATE -  2 - 9 August 2020! We are delighted to announce that the International Summer School of Photography (and Analogue Film!) will happen this year! The united ISSP and Baltic Analog Lab Summer School will take place from 2 to 9 August in Cēsis, at the Rucka Art Residency Centre. Under the theme NATURAL PHENOMENA, the summer camp will explore the fascinating natural world and its creatures around us. The participants will be invited to create their own work drawing creative inspiration and new skills from four different mini workshops (both photography and analogue film) and guest lectures and discussions with invited biologists, entomologists, environmental scientists, writers and more!

The number of participants will be limited to 30 (countries without current Covid travel restrictions), based on submitted applications.

ISSP International Masterclass exhibition MIXTAPE

Till 2 June we invite to see the exhibition of five alumni of the ISSP International Masterclass - Ieva Raudsepa, Emanuele Camerini, Ulrike Schmitz, Merlin Nadj-Torma, Salvatore Vitale MIXTAPE, curated by Aaron Schuman - opening on 13 May at 20:00 at K.K. fon Stricka Villa!

Līdz 2. jūnijam aicinām apskatīt ISSP Starptautiskās meistarklases absolventu iztādi MIXTAPE, kurā apskatāmi Ievas Raudsepas (LV), Salvatores Vitāles (IT/CH), Emanueles Kamerīni (IT), Ulrikes Šmites (DE) un Merlinas Nadj-Tormas (DE) - darbi. Izstādes kurators - Ārons Šumans (UK). Atklāšana 13. maijā plkst. 20:00 K.K.for Stricka villā!

You are cordially invited for an artist talk by Arnold van Bruggen and Anoek Steketee Creating through Collaboration - stories on slow journalism & modern documentary on 5 May 18:00. The talk is organised in cooperation with SSE Riga as part of Riga Photomonth 2016.

ISSP is celebrating its tenth anniversary with a new publication - the ISSP 10 postcard set showcasing some of the best new Latvian photography by 10 emerging artists, friends and contemporaries of ISSP.
