The updated ISSP 2011 programme, with evening talks and presentations, is now online, as well as confirmed list of participants. We are looking forward for the event!!!
Piektdien, 8.jūnijā, plkst 19:00 Kaņepes Kultūras centrā tiks atklāta pirmā ISSP Skolas absolventu izstāde, kurā ar individuāliem fotoprojektiem piedalīsies 15 Skolas studenti - jaunie Latvijas fotogrāfi Agnese Mūrniece, Aija Bley, Aivars Purmals, Ēriks Gailis, Ģirts Raģelis, Ieva Raudsepa, Inga Linda Tilgase-Galzone, Kārlis Bergs, Kristians Bērents, Linda Dambeniece, Lita Krone, Luīze Pētersone, Mārcis Ruiķis, Toms Norde un Viesturs Pinka. Izstāde būs atvērta apmeklētājiem no 8.-31.jūnijam. Laipni lūgti!
On Friday 8 June 19:00 - the opening of the first Exhibition of the ISSP School students!
15 young Latvian photographers: Agnese Mūrniece, Aija Bley, Aivars Purmals, Ēriks Gailis, Ģirts Raģelis, Ieva Raudsepa, Inga Linda Tilgase-Galzone, Kārlis Bergs, Kristians Bērents, Linda Dambeniece, Lita Krone, Luīze Pētersone, Mārcis Ruiķis, Toms Norde un Viesturs Pinka presenting their individual projects done during their studies at the School during the last 9 months.
The exhibition at Kaņepes Kultūras center (Skolas 15) will be open until 31 June 2012.

Here are the results of the workshop "Documentary photo-essay: Stories form Kuldīga" led by Sarah Leen and Bill Marr of National Geographic Magazine to 16 young Latvian photographers in Kuldīga, Latvia on 26-29 May 2011. 16 stories, transformed into collective dedication to the town of Kuldīga.
Mūsu vairāku mēnešu garumā lolots projekts ir klāt - ISSP Skola! Mācību kurss fotogrāfiem, kuri vēlās iedziļināties medija saturiskajos aspektos deviņu mēnešu garumā, paralēli strādājot pie personīgā projekta un mācoties no Latvijas labākiem fotogrāfiem. Nodarbības notiks no 2011.gada septembra līdz maijam, darbadienu vakaros. Grupas dalībnieku skaits - 15 cilvēki. Pieteikumus pieņemam līdz 10.jūlijam!

Good morning! The process of careful ISSP participants selection is now completed, and the list of the 60 photographers who will be offered places in Workshops 1-5 is online! Together with the Borderlines workshop, ISSP 2011 will host 72 photographers from 24 countries of the world. The list will be adjusted pending participants confirmations. We will inform all the applicants by email shortly.
The selection for "Visual narratives: European Borderlines" project is now over and we are happy to announce 12 project participants: Andrejs Strokins, Ilze Vanaga, Reinis Hofmanis (Latvia), Ahmet Can Boyan, Cemil Batur Gökçeer, Sevim Sancaktar (Turkey), Ana Catarina Pinho, André Príncipe, Tiago Casanova (Portugal), Hallgerdur Hallgrimsdottir, Heida Helgadottir, Valdis Thor (Iceland). Attention young photographers from Latvia, Turkey, Iceland and Portugal! The applications for participation in the long-term project "Visual narratives: European borderlines" are now open. Photographers aged 18-35 and working in documentary genre are invited to apply till 20 May 2011.
