Adrian Kelterborn is a multimedia and film producer, director and editor. As a lead producer at Magnum in Motion, the inhouse-multimedia department of Magnum Photos, he produced more than 100 multimedia essays in close collaboration with Magnum photographers. A photojournalist, founding member of the VII photo agency, Antonin Kratochvil has covered all sorts of major events, rebellions and natural disasters around the world in the last few decades. His fluid and unconventional work has been sought by numerous publications stretching across widely differing interests. From shooting Mongolia’s street children to a portrait session with David Bowie, his ability to see through and into his subjects has made his pictures into uncensored visions, documenting the time in which he lives.

Wednesday, August 6
20:30 - 22:00 "John Burke: the greatest war photographer you've never heard of" - Artist talk, Simon Norfolk (UK)
Simon Norfolk is a landscape photographer whose work has been themed around a probing and stretching of the meaning of the word 'battlefield' in all its forms. He has photographed in some of the world's worst war-zones and refugee crises, but is equally at home photographing supercomputers used to design military systems or test-launches of nuclear missiles. Norfolk’s work has been widely recognized internationally, and he has been described by critics as “the leading documentary photographer of our time”.
Simon will talk about his project in Afghanistan in parallel with the forgotten Irish war photographer John Burke who followed the British into Afghanistan in 1878, raising the subject of imperialist arrogance which many will find very relevant today.

Yurie Nagashima is a Japanese photographer and contemporary artist working predominantly in the genres of self-portraiture, portraiture, street photography and still life. Eugène Atget - a French flâneur and a pioneer of documentary photography, Atget was determined to document the architecture and street scenes of Paris before modernization. Most of his work was published after his death.
