Photobooks & Zines - Parallel masterclass with Void

Photobooks & Zines - Parallel masterclass with Void in Riga (online)
06 - 14 June 2020

During this online masterclass, Void founders Myrto Steirou, João Linneu and Sylvia Sachini will help the participants to conceptualise, edit and produce a unique publication with their artistic work. We will be exploring the entire process of transforming the artist’s voice into a printed matter: from the storytelling to book design and physical production. Ideally participating photographers will have a coherent body of work and would like to present it in printed form. A proper photobook dummy will be executed for those with a large project that fits in this length of publication. Zines will be made for those with a more simple body of work. The workshop will take place online and will daily connect the tutors in Athens and Lisbon with the participants in Riga through series of Zoom lectures, group discussions and tutorials; the books will be physically made in parallel by the authors in Riga and by Void in Athens.

A public presentation of the results shall take place on 30th June, 18:30 (Latvian time).
